We are a diverse group of women committed to the vocal and musical excellence of 4-part a cappella harmony singing through:
- the vocal development and musical education of every member
- energetic, professional, innovative and creative performance
- singing predominantly modern barber shop arrangements in a variety of genres such as jazz, pop, swing and gospel
- local, regional and national competition the opportunity for personal growth of all members
Sharon is a qualified Musical Director with Sweet Adelines International and understands the importance of developing vocal skills for every singer in the ensemble. She brings more than 20 years’ experience to this special artform and over the years has grown in her knowledge through attending many musical and training events. Sharon has been a Co-Director of a nationally acclaimed chorus and has sung with successful quartets. Sharon holds a Diploma of Teaching and is an experienced teacher who values education and personal growth in a fun environment.
Amanda has had 22 years experience singing four-part acappella barbershop-style harmony as a member of three choruses. She has held leadership positions in all three, including Assistant Director, Tenor Section Leader and Visual/Choreography Leader. Amanda studied classical singing for two years and has received training in Vocal Production and Visual Performance through many National and International Competitions and Master Classes with Sweet Adelines International. She brings both experience and passion for singing harmony to her role of Co-Musical Director of Vocal Edge.
Sweet Adelines International is a worldwide organization of women singers, established in 1945, committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performances. This independent, nonprofit music education association is one of the world’s largest singing organizations for women.
